WHAT IS HOLISTIC THERAPY
A holistic approach means looking at something as a whole, not partial or separate. On the basis of this statement, over time, a holistic approach was developed and is based on an alternative therapy called holistic therapy or commonly called Holistic Psychotherapy. This therapy is a body-centered, integrative method of psychotherapy that combines traditional and non-traditional treatments.
The goal of holistic therapy is to help clients recognize and manage the symptoms they are experiencing. The strategy built is also useful so that clients become more aware and know themselves better. That way, the relationship between the body and mind can be aligned so that symptoms of mental disorders or addiction to alcohol or narcotics can be managed properly.
Holistic therapy focuses on the interrelationship of these elements and aims to treat the client from an isolated symptom or condition. Holistic therapy may involve a variety of techniques and alternative therapies to achieve a state of balance and harmony and optimal health and well-being for clients who are addicted to alcohol or drugs. By addressing all physical, emotional and spiritual needs, it is hoped that clients can build a strong foundation for long-term recovery.
Holistic therapy for alcoholics and drug addicts is an alternative approach to health care that considers the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of clients by professional therapists where this therapy also provides a treatment plan based on the client’s needs. Holistic therapy for alcoholics and narcotics is believed to be able to assist clients in managing stress levels and dealing with triggers that can cause relapse. Holistic therapy can also help improve sleep, reduce anxiety, depression and improve overall well-being.
